Nestled amidst the forests of Põlvamaa and on the shores of the beautiful Saarjärv lake, Saarjärve Holiday House, known for its accommodations, is transforming into a pop-up restaurant for one special weekend. Guests can expect a delightful evening filled with forest-inspired dishes, a cozy atmosphere by the fireplace, and breathtaking lake views. As night falls, our illuminated forest creates a magical ambiance.

Meet the Chef
This time, the kitchen will be in the hands of head chef Kristjan Jürimäe, who is joining us at Saarjärve from Alto Restaurant and Alto Bakery in Tallinn.
In previous years, Elar Jürimäe has helped the Saarjärve hosts create the *From Forest to Plate* menu. This time, his brother Kristjan will be taking charge in the kitchen. Kristjan has a deep love of Japanese cuisine and has worked at a one-Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant in Ireland. He has also further developed his skills at the three-Michelin-starred restaurant De Librije in the Netherlands. Expect subtle Eastern influences in this year’s menu.

For children aged 12 and under, we offer a child-friendly version of the menu for €16.
Available at an additional charge:
- Dessert – baked treats prepared at Saarjärve Holiday House. Choose from the selection on site.
- Drinks – a selection of carefully chosen wines and cocktails by our sommelier, as well as non-alcoholic drinks and craft beers.
Reservations

- A 50% deposit* of the booking total is required to confirm your reservation. As this is a pop-up restaurant, and demand exceeded the number of guests we could accommodate last year, we ask you to confirm your booking with a 50% deposit.
- You can cancel free of charge up to one week before the event.
Accommodation
During this period, we also offer accommodation in the main house’s Superior rooms, with breakfast included, and in our small holiday house with a sauna. We recommend booking your accommodation early.*Why do we require a deposit?
Because our pop-up restaurant operates for just one weekend, we purchase ingredients for a set number of portions. If a reservation is cancelled at the last minute, we are left with the ingredients and may already have turned away other guests because we were fully booked.
Our experience last year showed that guests who had not confirmed their reservation with a deposit were more likely to cancel at the last minute.
